Description of Services

Bookmobile

The Bookmobile is one of many outreach services the library provides to Carroll County residents. Our goal is to excite children about books and reading as they develop school readiness skills and become lifelong learners, and to bring library resources to seniors who cannot travel to the library.

To find out if your child care center, after school program or senior community is eligible to receive Bookmobile services, contact us via our Bookmobile Stop Request form. During the summer, in place of the after school programs, the Bookmobile goes to parks, day camps, recreation centers, etc.

Day Care Van Service

Two vans provide service to licensed home-based and community child care center and preschool classrooms to encourage reading and to support school readiness by bring the library resources and storytime training to child care providers and parents. Day Care Van Service is one of many outreach services the library provides to Carroll County residents. Our goal is to encourage reading and the love of books at an early age, and to support school readiness by bringing library resources and storytime training to child care providers and parents.
