The 2016 GSK Science in the Summer™ program will introduce students to bioscience through interesting activities that include building models of plant and animal cells, using magnifying glasses to examine everyday things up close, and microscopes to look inside the cells of plants and animals. They will learn about bacteria and find out why some bacteria are helpful and others are harmful. A parent or guardian must come in person to fill out and sign the registration form for his/her child. Children must be able to attend all of the classes that week (June 27 - June 30, 2016). GSK Science in the Summer™ is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science in partnership with community-based organizations. Only kids need to register.

Belly dance is a beautiful and fun dance, and it is a great workout! In this workshop you will learn a few basic moves which are essential to the dance. We will then put these moves together to form a basic choreography so that you will leave the workshop with something to show your friends! Your instructor for the day will be Halima. Halima is a teacher, performer, and an award-winning perpetual student of belly dance. She is also the organizer of the Westminster Belly Dance Meetup. All attendees need to register.

The 2016 GSK Science in the Summer™ program will introduce students to bioscience through interesting activities that include building models of plant and animal cells, using magnifying glasses to examine everyday things up close and microscopes to look inside the cells of plants and animals. They will learn about bacteria and find out why some bacteria are helpful and others are harmful. A parent or guardian must come in person to fill out and sign the registration form for his/her child. Children must be able to attend all of the classes that week (June 27 - June 30, 2016). GSK Science in the Summer™ is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science in partnership with community-based organizations. Only kids need to register.

Wear your pajamas, bring your favorite stuffed animal, and listen to stories before bed. This storytime, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
