Through innovative use of reenactments, this three-episode series puts a face on the anti-slavery movement; William Lloyd Garrison, Frederick Douglass, Angelina Grimke, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and John Brown. Run time of 180 minutes. This film is part of the Created Equal: America's Civil Rights Struggle film series, sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. A Celebrating America program.
