Washington artist Charlie Maiorana will demonstrate three techniques for creating colorful, exciting texture paintings, and mirrors with painted tile surrounds. Demonstrations will include using alcohol inks and flame to paint on tiles, using Powertex and Paverpol to stiffen cloth, sponges, and other textural materials, and making custom padded bags to store and ship your artworks.

Join author Lois Szymanski as she shares stories about the famous wild Chincoteague ponies and the Assateague wetlands where they live. Ms. Szymanski will discuss the inspirations for her books Wild Colt, The True Story of Miracle Man, The True Story of Seafeather, and The True Story of Quintilius. After the talk, visitors will be able to meet a real Chincoteague pony and ask questions of the pony's owner. This will be a great experience for the entire family! All attendees need to register.
