The Pennsylvania Railroad, founded in 1846 and commonly referred to as the "Pennsy," was the standard to which other railroads aspired. Westminster resident Jack Norris interned on the Pennsy in the summer of 1957. Fortunately for us, Mr. Norris also kept a diary of that summer. Come ride the rails with Norris as he shares his railroad experiences and valuable historical information related to our country's railroad industry. Jointly sponsored by the Westminster Branch Library and the Carroll Community College History Club, this program is an original source historical document discussion. A Celebrating America program.
