Confused about rate increases or billing notices? Policy cancelled or non-renewed and you don’t understand why? Concerned about the insurance company’s handling of your claim? The Maryland Insurance Administration is a state agency that can: • Provide you with guides that may help you compare rates among insurers writing automobile, homeowners, health coverage for small employers, and for Medicare supplement policies. • Help you better understand the coverage on your insurance policy so that you are a well-informed consumer. • Investigate the handling or settlement of a claim on your behalf. • Determine whether actions taken by your insurance company are in compliance with Maryland law. • Ensure that you are treated in accordance with Maryland law. Stop by between 11am and 3pm to talk to a representative from the MD Insurance Administration.
