Some of the best writing today falls within the realm of creative nonfiction. Lee Gutkind defines this popular genre, which includes memoir and literary journalism, as true stories well told. We'll talk about what sets creative nonfiction apart from the familiar fiction and nonfiction categories and cover the basics to get you started writing your own creative nonfiction piece. We'll finish with a discussion of publishing in today's dynamic environment. Start thinking about your entries for the Teens Create contest and let's get started!

Do you love Doctor Who? Are you eagerly anticipating the 2014 series with the new Doctor? Well, so are we! Come join the Mount Airy Branch Library as it celebrates all things Doctor Who. We will be having a trivia contest to challenge
you on your classic and contemporary Doctor Who knowledge, as well as a costume contest to find the most authentic Doctor Who costume in the area. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Refreshments will be

Come to the library and read a story to a book-loving dog. Research shows that children enjoy improving their reading skills by practice reading to animals. Struggling readers are encouraged to participate. Only kids need to register.
