Who Are the Friends of Carroll County Public Library?

Members of the Friends of Carroll County Public Library support the library in its mission to deliver lifelong learning for all ages through advocating for public funding for libraries, promoting awareness of public library services and needs, and by enhancing library program resources in partnership with staff and trustees.

How Does Being a Friend Help?

With many members, Friends can show strong support for our public libraries. Friends share with their family, neighbors and friends the many ways that libraries contribute to the quality of life in our community. Your friendship also demonstrates to community leaders and decision makers that libraries are important in our county. Friends let County Commissioners, state elected officials, and community leaders know just how important libraries are by writing letters and e-mails and by speaking to officials personally.

How Are Funds Used?

The Friends raise funds through annual membership dues and donations. The funds support advocacy efforts that raise awareness about lifelong learning opportunities at the library and how they benefit the community. When funds allow, they may be used to enhance library programs and new initiatives.
