Register for this event today!
Celebrate Earth Day by exploring tree life around the Finksburg Branch Library. Steve Allgeier, Horticulture Consultant for the University of Maryland Extension, Carroll County will lead the walk and talk. This traveling discussion will focus on the trees found near the library. Steve will discuss the desirable attributes and potential liabilities of the trees. The talk will also address general care and pruning. The program will end with a tree planting on the library grounds to help celebrate Earth Day. All attendees need to register. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Stephen S. Israel, archaeologist, retired Army Corps of Engineers, will explore our county's history and development through 30 objects from the past. Come join us for this surprising tour. A Celebrating America program. Mr. Israel has a M.A. in anthropology from University of Oklahoma and is currently conducting an archaeological dig of a Late Archaic Native American site in the Piedmont Uplands at Pine Valley Park in Manchester, MD.

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and join us for an outdoor concert featuring local band Train Wreck. Train Wreck is an alternative rock band specializing in alternative, new wave, and progressive music from the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s.
