Come to a free violin class at the library! We are offering a free 30-minute group class that will instruct children in the basics of violin playing (instrument hold, bow hold, rhythms, basic instrument care, etc.). Children will have a chance to jam along with Ms.Glenda on real violins! Questions will be answered at the end of the class regarding the Suzuki method, how to find an instrument, and about the Pre-Twinkle program at Westminster Suzuki Strings. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Only kids need to register.

Magician Mike Rose presents a magic show that is unlike any other. The show consists of impossible magic tricks, weird mind reading stunts, and off-the-wall comedy all based around the theme of sports and fitness. And the show features lots of audience participation, too. Many children will become part of the show, so don’t miss it! This program sponsored by the Roaring Run Lions Club and Reese Volunteer Fire Hall. All attendees need to register.

Medicare 102 covers the four parts of Medicare with a special focus on the Medigap plans. Learn about the different medigap plans and your period of Guaranteed Issue Rights. These secondary/supplemental plans can cover the deductibles and co-insurances not covered by Medicare. We will cover the Medicare Savings Programs (not all programs are low-income programs!) and healthcare fraud. Presented by Carroll County’s SHIP/SMP program.

Let's have some fun with Pokemon Go at the library! Meet us in the lobby of the Finksburg
Branch to go with a group over to the Sandymount Park where we will be visiting all six of the
PokeStops at the park and placing lures out on two stops. If you do two loops around the park,
it's about a mile walk. This will be a great opportunity to catch some Pokemon, talk tips, and
hatch some eggs you have in the incubator. Afterwards, you can go back to the library and
battle at our PokeGym. Refreshments will be served. In the case of questionable weather, please
call the branch ahead of time at 410-386-4505. Refreshments will be served.

Set an hour aside for yourself. Join Syeda Khan for a free, invigorating yoga session in a soothing atmosphere. Register to assure a place. Drop by the Finksburg Branch Library between 9:30 am and 12 pm for a free vision screening. The screening, for preschool-aged children, will test for nearsightedness, farsightedness, unequal focusing, and differences in the power of the eyes. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Offered in partnership with the Deer Park Lions Club.
