There are many decisions to make when you are eligible for Medicare. We will cover the four parts of Medicare (Parts A, B, C, and D) and how they work, Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans, preventive services, and how to protect yourself from healthcare fraud. We will cover the Medicare Savings Programs, not all of which are low-income programs. Presented by Carroll County’s SHIP/SMP program.

Let's have some fun with Pokemon Go at the library! Meet us in the lobby of the branch to go as a group over to Sandymount Park where we will be visiting all six of the PokeStops there. This will be a great opportunity to catch some Pokemon, talk tips, and hatch some eggs you have in the incubator. Afterward, you can go back to the library and battle at our PokeGym. In the case of questionable weather, please call the branch ahead of time at 410-386-4505. Refreshments will be served.

Register for this event today!
Relax on a summer evening by trying the very popular hand lettering art. Make a lovely sign to take home or give as a gift. Author and artist, Amy Latta, will be walking the group through basic embellishments, like curving vines, arrows, banners, simple swirls, and flowers. She will then demonstrate simple hand lettering steps, ending with a watercolor technique to polish off the design. Guests are encouraged to bring either an 8 x 10 or 8 1/2 x 11 frame and come with an idea for a phrase or verse they want to use. All attendees need to register.
