The Madrigal Singers are the premier vocal ensemble from McDaniel College. They perform exclusively unaccompanied vocal music, primarily Renaissance madrigals, but also including a good variety of world music as well. Most recently they sang at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, and on the Millennium Stage at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. You do not want to miss this wonderful performance. In the spirit of Rube Goldberg, a cartoonist and inventor known for his comically complicated machines, we have been keeping laughter and invention alive at our branches this winter. Middle and high school students have created contraptions with the end goal of placing coins into a container. We invite the public to view these hilarious creations with live demonstrations.

Exploring Homelessness in Carroll County: A Town Hall Forum

Join us for a short film exploring the lives of several Carroll County residents as they share their stories of homelessness. Hear our neighbors talk about their own journey, their struggles to get back on their feet, and their hopes for the future. A time of discussion and reflection will follow the film as we share ideas about our community response to homelessness. This event is sponsored by the Circle of Caring Homelessness Board, a voluntary collaborative committee of over 50 government, non-profit, business, and faith-based groups with an interest in ending homelessness in Carroll County.
