For All Ages
Author Lois Szymanski will share stories about the Chincoteague ponies and the Feather Fund, the charity that annually purchases Chincoteague pony foals for children at the world famous Pony Penning Round Up on Chincoteague Island, Virginia. The Feather Fund was founded in memory of Carollynn Suplee, a cancer survivor who purchased a foal for a child or a buyback foal (one chosen to live out his life on the island). This was her way of giving back for another year of life. Her legacy continues to inspire giving back through the ponies we love. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet a real Chincoteague pony! A Celebrating America program.
