Maryland Public Libraries are pleased to offer the make-IT place, a statewide, online community for makers of all skill levels to find, remix, and share projects. Help us build a vibrant community of makers in Maryland!
Everyone! It's for makers of all ages and skill levels.
You'll find bite-sized lessons and videos created by a community of makers that present easy STEM projects in a step-by-step, moderated online environment.

Making is the act of creating something. Making is collaborative and involves sharing ideas and creations with a larger community of makers. Making promotes creativity, computational and design thinking, problem solving and champions producers over consumers. Making is a mindset and everyone can be a maker!
Visit the make-IT place to view the current collection of projects. Select a project of interest to learn more and access the accompanying tutorial. If you wish to upload your creation to the Gallery, share your thoughts on a project, or upload your own project tutorial, you will need to sign up for an account through the site with a username, password, and email address. Tags are available to add to any projects you upload and please include the tag for Carroll County Public Library so that we can locate our community's amazing projects.
The make-IT place is powered by WorkBench and is a Maryland State Library initiative funded by an Institute of Museum and Library Services grant.
