Join Steve Allgeier for a crash course on American tree identification. Learn the basics of identifying deciduous trees in their dormant condition by observing and describing twigs, bark, leaf scars, fruits, branching patterns and tree form. Attendees will learn to use guides and "keys" to woody plants so as to identify native tree species. Class time will be divided (weather permitting) between classroom exercises and a field walk to trees along West Main Street and City Hall. Approximately two hours long. A Celebrating America program.
The Program is Full. If you wish to go on a waiting list, you would be number 1 on the list.
