Bring the whole family! Come to this fun belly dancing workshop taught by local belly dancer Liz Slaterbeck. You'll learn a bit about the history of belly dancing, see a performance, have a lesson, and then do some dancing too! Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

A little push, a twist a turn. Keep those little fingers busy and experimenting in our library Tinkertown. Fun, playful activities will engage the mind and body as your child builds their fine motor skills and creativity. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. This program is sponsored in part by a Community Arts Development Grant from the Carroll County Arts Council and the Maryland State Arts Council. Are you up to the challenge of competing against the clock to complete a game in 60 seconds? In MTWI: Farm Edition all the games have a focus of learning a little more about Maryland agriculture, while testing your skills to complete the challenge. The game starts in 3...2...1... GO!

Kids love toys and it was no different during Civil War. Join us to play with the toys that were popular at that time, you'll probably find they are just as fun now. This program is offered in conjunction with the Civil War 150 exhibit. Civil War 150 is a national traveling panel exhibition organized by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History in partnership with The Library of America. The project, Civil War 150: Exploring the War and Its Meaning through the Words of Those Who Lived It, has been made possible in part through a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Exploring the human endeavor.
