Stop by our computer lab from 12-3 PM and have our teen volunteer assist you with most of your computer needs, including setting up emails, Facebook and other social media accounts, starting a blog, introduction to kid friendly computer sites like Minecraft and Club Penguin, getting started with Microsoft Powerpoint and Word, and even just downloading smart phone pictures.

For kids entering 2nd and 3rd grade. Put on your safety goggles and explore the exciting world of chemistry! Observe physical and chemical changes. Make crystals and watch raisins and popcorn dance. All children must be pre-registered to attend Science in the Summer classes. A parent or guardian must come in person to fill out and sign the registration form for his/her child. Forms will be available on 6/16/2014; completed documentation is due by 6/30/2014. Children must be able to attend all of the classes offered that week (July 21-24). GSK Science in the SummerTM is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science in partnership with community-based organizations. Only kids need to register.

How do wild animals survive in their environments? This 4-H Environmental Science program will show you how to identify animals by their pelts, tracks and even their scat. We will then test our own survival skills in an interactive game. All attendees need to register.

Summer is the time for INSECTS! Participants can learn about some local insects and the roles they play in the world. Hands-on activities and games will teach participants why these little critters are such a big deal! This program is presented by a representative of the MD 4-H program. Only kids need to register.
