A little push, a twist, a turn. Keep those little fingers busy and experimenting in our library Tinkertown. Fun, playful activities will engage the mind and body as your child builds their fine motor skills and creativity. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Only kids need to register. This program is sponsored in part by a Community Arts Development Grant from the Carroll County Arts Council and the Maryland State Arts Council. For All Ages
An opportunity to meet farmers and gardeners who will share information from their field. Informational displays about farming and community supported agriculture. Try your hand at milking a dairy goat and meet other farm animals. Shake cream into butter with Carroll County Farm Bureau members. Plant fall greens and watch seeds sprout into a delicious salad. Explore the wonders of the honey bee and taste some delicious honey. An Extension Service agent will share information on canning and taste the difference in jams and jellies. Dehydration demonstration to learn how to extend the harvest. Share family recipes in partnership with the Carroll History Project. Cool down and relax while enjoying a farm storytime and craft at 3:00 See tractors, new and old. From 2 - 4 pm. A Celebrating America program.
