The children will learn there is more to gardening than flowers, fruit, and vegetables; there are herbs! They will create a terrarium from a plastic jug, decorate it and plant herbs while learning what herbs are used for.

Branch history
Library service to the Finksburg area began on January 28, 2009 with the opening of the 13,805 square foot branch. The Finksburg Planning and Citizens' Council played an integral role in helping the Finksburg Branch become a reality. This library was the first Green building in Carroll County. Some of the green features include: geothermal wells, a storm water management system, and recyclable and recycled materials.
