In partnership with the Western Maryland Railway Historical Society (WMRHS), CCPL assisted in the digitization of a small portion of the thousands of photos that the WMRHS has collected at their location in Union Bridge. The WMRHS collection of photos and other railroad items span the entire history of the Western Maryland Railway and provides an insight into the importance of the railroad in the history of Carroll County and the State of Maryland. For more information about the Society and their museum, visit their website at http://www.westernmarylandrhs.com/.
Please visit the WMRHS museum in the old Union Bridge Station located at 41 N. Main Street, Union Bridge, MD 21791. Public hours are: Sunday, 1 - 4 PM and Wednesdays, 9 AM - 3 PM (closed 11:30-12:30).
