Do you offer copying and scanning?

Every library branch has a public copier that includes scanning capabilities.Copies are $.20 per copy. Scanned documents will be emailed to a chosen email address. Scanning is a free service.

Can the library fax something for me?

Staff members will fax a customer’s document for $1 per page, not counting the cover page. You may also receive a document at a CCPL fax machine for $.20 per page.

Can I print from a library computer? How much does it cost?

Customers can print from library computers for $.20 a page. Branches also offer wireless printing. Printing costs are the same whether the page is in B&W or color.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, all Carroll County Public Library branches offer free Wi-Fi.

Do you offer passport services?

Do you offer 3D printing?

Yes, you can find more information on our 3D printing page. You can search for 3D printing programs offered by the library by browsing our newsletter.

Can I pay my Real Estate/Property Tax and County Water/Sewer bills at the library?

Yes, bring your entire Real Estate/Property tax and County Water/Sewer bills to the service desk at any CCPL branch. We will process your payment via check or cash only. No credit card payments accepted.

Can I buy stamps at the library?

Yes, postage stamps can be purchased at the service desk at any CCPL branch.

Do you have tax forms at the library?

The State of Maryland provides a limited number of forms and instruction booklets to Maryland Public Libraries. A limited selection of Federal forms and instruction booklets are also available at all Carroll County Public Library locations.

Does the library provide notary services?

Yes, Carroll County Public Library offers Notary Public services free of charge. Appointments are recommended to ensure a notary is available. Simply call your local branch and request a Notary Service appointment. You can find more information on our Notary services page.

Can I get a test proctored?

Carroll County Public Library no longer offers test proctoring services. We recommend that you contact these institutions in Carroll County and the surrounding region. Each meets the standards of the National College Testing Association.

Please make sure to contact the institution in advance to verify location, hours, fees, conditions, and requirements.

How can I volunteer at the library?

A wide variety of volunteer opportunities are available for students, young adults, and seniors at every branch of the Carroll County Public Library. Each location maintains a list of volunteer needs, so you can easily find a way to help that's convenient for you. Can I make a donation to the library in honor of someone?

CCPL welcomes all types of honorary donations, whether as a memorial or in celebration of any other important life event. Please contact your local CCPL Branch Manager for assistance in making honorary donations and selecting an appropriate gift.
