Family Storytime

We’ll share books, stories, rhymes, music, and movement. Come talk, sing, read, write, and play together in a format appropriate for young children. 

Itty Bitty Scientists: Butterflies and Moths

We are all aflutter to explore butterflies and moths. We'll learn more about their life cycle through stories, songs, and activities. 

Spanish Language Practice Circle

Join us for a friendly and informal group gathering to practice speaking Spanish together. This program is for intermediate and advanced-level Spanish speakers. A partner from The Literacy Council of Carroll County will lead this program.

Yoga and Pranayama for Stress Relief

This program includes a gentle yoga practice, pranayama (breath exercises), and meditation to allow you to let go of tension, relax, and relieve stress. Breathing techniques and physical postures will be practiced that can be utilized off your mat and outside this class to enable you to manage stress and pressure in various settings in your life. 

The program will be accessible for individuals of varying physical ability and yoga experience and can be modified to a chair for those with limited mobility. Participants will need to bring their own yoga mat or towel to practice on.

Read with a Furry Friend

Come to the library to visit with or read to book-loving therapy dogs. Research shows that reading to animals boosts reading skills in children and helps with social skills and emotional health for all ages. Adults and seniors can also come to de-stress and relax with a fuzzy friend. Walk-ins are welcome!

Join us for a monthly session of diamond painting! We'll have a new project each month, and no experience is necessary!
