This month, we are highlighting winter. Join us for William's Winter Nap by Linda Ashman. Participants should bring a favorite winter-themed title to show the group.
In the Large Meeting Room, kids ages 4-12 can enter “faux snowball” battles within small supervised groups (twelve or fourteen kids). These battles start at noon and will end after 15 minutes so others can have a chance. After the battle has reset, a new group can begin (about every 20 minutes); we'll continue throughout the afternoon. Kids may participate multiple times, but we'll set guidelines to keep things fun and friendly. For families and friends bringing similarly aged kids, assigned timeslots may be requested ahead of time. Please contact Miss Renee at 410-386-4510 to sign up!
Learn why some birds, like the homebodies, will stay behind in the cold winter months and why others, like the high flyers, will migrate to a warmer climate. Through stories and group discussion, participants will learn the value of caring for the homebodies and ways they can actually take care of the birds in their natural settings. We will construct hanging feeders that will provide nourishment to the birds during the frigid temperatures and cold wind that sweeps across Maryland during the winter months.

This month's selection is Book Lovers by Emily Henry. It's both a tribute to and a takedown of small-town romance stories; it's an enemies-to-lovers romance about two New York City rivals, a literary agent and a book editor, who end up in the same small town for a month and somehow can't avoid each other.
Registration closes at 4:30 PM on the day of the program. You will receive the Zoom link via email by 5:30 PM on the day of the program.
