The North Carroll Branch will be closed for renovations Monday, October 13 through Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The bookdrop will remain open during the closure.
All CCPL locations will be closed for the Veterans Day Holiday on Tuesday, November 11. We will reopen for regular hours on Wednesday, November 12.

Carroll County Public Library is entering a new phase of library service with the construction of Exploration Commons at 50 East. Join us in celebrating all things that a library can be and think beyond the book with our contest theme of Infinite Possibilities.
An online gallery of entries will be viewable in February. Winners will be announced March 1, 2021. Winning cards will be made into limited edition library cards on sale this spring at all library branches. Proceeds will benefit Exploration Commons. Prize awards made possible by The Friends of Carroll County Public Library.
- Exploration Commons at 50 East is an interactive space coming to the Carroll County Public Library in 2021, where everyone can explore and create using the unique equipment and resources in the Makerspace, Teaching Kitchen, and Meeting Spaces.
- Winning entries will look beyond the traditional role of libraries and visually express our vision for Exploration Commons through any 2D medium.
